Fraud Customer order signup – Funny
There are tons of fraudulent orders from China, Malaysia, Vietnam. There are some interesting cases from Nigeria too, but very rare. We fight fraud every day by blocking not just IPs but blacklisting whole ranges of IPs, ISPs and networks. As well as using some other techniques.
The fraudsters try to come up with new ways to fool us into thinking it’s a real customer so we accepted the order and later we would get a chargeback request because the credit card number that used was stolen.

Update:
This story did not end yesterday. Today we got a Texas ID from this client trying to prove he was real. I will not go into details how we determine fraud, but we had a great laugh at the office. Some day I might share more on this interesting topic.
